A Week in the Dominican Republic

My body has been craving another trip, which means I have been reminiscing about my vacation to the Dominican Republic from a few months ago. I have been meaning to share my trip on here, but these last few months have been super busy and—not to mention—have flown by, so creating this post got lost amongst everything else. (more…)

2016 | A Year in Pictures

I think it’s safe to say that most people are happy to see 2016 come to an end, as it was definitely not a great year in terms of politics, world events and celebrity deaths. However, on a personal level, I did manage to have a great year chock full of adventures and exciting things and it has left me even more excited for 2017. (more…)

Cleveland | What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I took a little road trip to Cleveland to see the Toronto Blue Jays play the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. We also squeezed in a little sightseeing as well—however, that’s all for a separate blogpost I will hopefully have up by the end of the week. Today, I wanted to share what I packed in my travel makeup bag for Cleveland. (more…)

A Week in Mexico

I cannot believe my blog has been neglected for the past month. I have been so busy with school and finals, plus I have been working a lot more, which ultimately meant my blog (sadly) went on the back burner. Anyways, today I am back and finally sharing my trip to Cancun, Mexico that my boyfriend and I went on in February. It was an amazing week away in paradise and so nice to escape the cold weather we were having, as well as the stress of school and work. Just to be able to relax and enjoy each other’s company was exactly what I wanted. (more…)

New York City | Part 1

Earlier this month, my mum, sister and I headed to New York City—a place I have talked about visiting since what feels like forever. I’m so happy I got to spend a few days in this city with two of my favourite people. Despite the fact it was quite the exhausting trip (we were constantly on our feet), I had an amazing first experience here and we crammed a lot in in the days we were there—looking back I’m still quite shocked at just how much we managed to squeeze in. Guatemala Part 3 | Tikal, Flores and Lake Atitlan

The stunning view from our balcony in San Pedro.

Ah, the final blogpost in my Guatemala trilogy. Thursday night Val, Imane and myself took an overnight bus from Guatemala City to Flores. We took a first class bus, which was like a Greyhound here in Toronto. There was plenty of legroom and the seats were super comfortable, so we all slept well. However, the one tip I would say is to make sure you bring a warm sweater or a blanket and some socks if you are wearing sandals, as it does get super cold at night on the bus.

This is definitely the longest of the three parts. You’ve been warned!
