Testing Out the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation

I seldom wear foundation, but this one from Japanese powerhouse, Shiseido, is definitely one I can see myself regularly reaching for. The Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation* is right up my alley in regards to its formula and performance. To find out why, just carry on reading!

Just to quickly mention—I received this foundation complimentary for testing purposes thanks to Influenster, an online community designed for anyone with a social media following. Along with helping you discover new products, you also have access to millions of honest product reviews—it’s definitely worth checking out and signing up for!

As I had mentioned, I seldom wear foundation, as I find most feel too heavy on the skin, making it feel like my skin can’t breathe, which I do not enjoy the feeling of at all. I also find most foundations that offer high coverage tend to crease on me no matter what primer or IMG_7765powder I use to help prevent that. So, I automatically assumed that the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation* would be everything I avoid in a foundation, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The science behind it is that it uses responsive sensory technology that allows the product to synchronize with your skin’s condition—even as it changes—enhancing your skin’s natural beauty all day.

This oil-free foundation offers light coverage like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream and can be built up to a more medium coverage, if desired. What I especially love about it is how lightweight it is, as you can barely feel it on the skin. This is partially thanks to its water-based consistency—which I know not everyone is a fan of—but it dries down quickly without clinging to dry patches and leaves my skin looking hydrated, but not shiny. The formula of this also lasts all day long without creasing and ensures my skin looks just as great in the morning, as it does in the evening wearing this. One pump evens out my skin tone and masks any redness and discolouration, giving my skin a naturally flawless finish. That being said though, it does not offer enough coverage to conceal blemishes, so you will have to follow up with a concealer to hide any pesky spots.

Overall, if you have blemished skin and/or prefer a high coverage foundation then you might not get on with this one. However, if you’re like myself and prefer more natural, lightweight coverage, then I would definitely recommend trying this foundation out. I personally really love how easy and effortless this foundation is to use and the finish I am able to get from it.

The Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation* retails for $58.00 and is sold at Hudson’s Bay. There are currently 10 shades in the range (I have the shade Neutral 2), and they also have the Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Fluid Foundation, for those who want a more luminous finish.

Have you tried this foundation by Shiseido? What are your thoughts on it?
