I had mentioned in my last Product Empties post that I already had almost another dozen product empties to share on here, and I wasn’t kidding! I have just been breezing through products this summer and I am so happy to be using a ton of stuff up.
Here are the products I have recently finished up:
Haircare
Dove Refresh + Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo
Pros: Smells amazing, inexpensive, no white residue
Cons: Don’t find it as effective as other dry shampoos
Repurchase? Already have.
Live Clean Exotic Nectar Argan Oil Treatment
Pros: Gel-like consistency makes this product lightweight, smoothes flyaways and frizz, smells good, contains no nasty ingredients, vegan, cruelty-free
Cons: Even though I like the gel-like consistency it’s marketed as an oil, which is misleading, didn’t really repair my hair like it claimed
Repurchase? Yes.
Skincare
Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask
Pros: Eliminates excess oil, skin feels smoother, helps to minimize enlarged pores, love the mineral clay formula, washes off easily, fragrance-free, cruelty-free
Cons: Despite being ‘non-irritating’ this did sting the dry areas around my nose, can only get this online
Repurchase? Yes.
Nivea Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream with SPF30*
Pros: Offers a ton of moisture, leaves skin feeling softer and more supple, helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, wears well under makeup, suitable for sensitive skin, contains SPF 30, but also comes without SPF
Cons: Comes in a container (contaminating), more pricey for drugstore skincare
Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.
Nivea Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Replenishing Pearls*
Pros: Pearl technology allows the Q10plus to be freshly activated, making it more effective, lightweight, leaves skin feeling hydrated and looking smoother and more awake, helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, wears well under makeup, suitable for sensitive skin
Cons: More pricey for drugstore skincare
Repurchase? Yes.
Pros: Like the consistency of this, moisturizing, preferred using this on my feet
Cons: Do not like the scent of this at all (smells like cheap perfume), feel like the fragrance in this actually made my hands more dry/feel tighter, takes awhile to sink into the skin
Repurchase? No.
Bath & Body
Live Clean Vanilla Oatmeal Soothing Body Wash*
Pros: Really is soothing on the skin, great for dry skin, skin feels smooth and clean, lathers up really well, little goes a long way, smells amazing, affordable, get a lot of product in here, contains no nasty ingredients, vegan, cruelty-free
Cons: Honestly can’t think of anything!
Repurchase? Yes, I absolutely love this new scent by Live Clean.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion
Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, dry skin is nonexistent for me with this product, skin feels incredibly soft, perfect size for traveling
Cons: A lot of times it is not in stock, this size makes it harder to get the product out since there’s no pump
Repurchase? Yes.
Makeup
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur 5-Action Perfector
Pros: Reduces the appearance of pores and imperfections, helps prevent makeup from creasing, increases longevity of makeup, helps control shine
Cons: Has a weird consistency that you need to really warm up and work into the skin
Repurchase? Yes.
Pros: Great little kit that has everything you need to do your brows, powders are easy to work with, they’re pigmented and they last all day, affordable, cruelty-free
Cons: All three powders contain talc, lid on this broke, mirror in here is a little useless, wish you could repurchase just the brow powders by themselves, instead of having to buy the whole set again
Repurchase? Probably not.
Wet n Wild CoverAll Pressed Powder
Pros: Sets makeup well, wears all day, evens out skin tone, helps control shine, feels lightweight on the skin, comes in seven shades, super affordable, cruelty-free
Cons: Contains talc, packaging is really cheap, claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark spots, which is a bit of a stretch
Repurchase? Probably.
Pros: Sets makeup really well, evens out skin tone, absorbs excess oil, specifically helped neutralize the red in my skin, very affordable, love the sleek, black packaging
Cons: This powder can break easily, does not neutralize all my skin tone problems, contains talc
Repurchase? Already have.
Would you believe me if I said I’ll probably have another Product Empties post to share in the very near future? Because you should. I wasn’t kidding when I said I was serious about finishing up a ton of products this summer—stay tuned!
Finishing a product is so satisfying! The Live Clean vanilla oatmeal body wash sounds amazing. :]

I’ve been flying through products this summer too! I’m curious how you use your elf tone correcting powder? I’ve only tried it on it’s own and never over top of foundation. I didn’t want to ruin my foundation if it didn’t work out so I never tried. Is that how you wear it?

Hey! I use the powder in multiple ways – I’ll just wear it on its own or with a bit of concealer when I don’t want to wear much makeup, but want to help even things out…I’ll also use it to set foundation and bb cream and it works great! Helps my face makeup last all day, controls shine and balances everything out 🙂 hope that helps! xo

Thanks so much. I will definitely give it a try over foundation and I’m glad it controls shine because I need that, for sure!

No problem! 🙂 Just an FYI – if you get super oily then this powder might not be enough…I have combo skin so this controls the bit of oil in my t-zone no problem!
