I haven’t really purchased any new products so far this summer, and instead have been adamant in using up a lot of things I already have. And I am happy to report I have been making really good progress! I already have almost another dozen empties to share after this post!
It feels so good to be using up a ton of things and slowly condensing my beauty stash—except of course when said ‘thing’ is expensive or hard to get ahold of, then it’s bittersweet. Anyways, here’s what I have used up over the last couple of months:
Pros: Smells amazing, absorbs any excess oil, no white residue, gives my hair really good volume
Cons: Contains talc, hard to find in-store
Pros: Moisturizes, detangles, smooths and strengthens hair, seriously helped my hair grow, nozzle sprays evenly, smells great, affordable, cruelty-free
Cons: Not sold in Canada
Repurchase? Yes! This stuff works so well!
Pros: Easily cleanses skin and removes makeup, gentle, non-drying, softens the skin, specifically designed for ultra-sensitive and allergy-prone skin, 95% natural, no nasty ingredients, cruelty-free
Cons: Really dislike this kind of pump on products, as I find they don’t disperse well and results in wasted product, lid on this didn’t close properly
Repurchase? If they changed the pump and lid of this, yes. Until then, no.
Pros: Refreshing, perks up the skin, love the mist on this, water stays cold and uncontaminated in the can, soothes and calms any redness and irritation, great for soothing a burn, very gentle and suitable for sensitive skin
Pros: Leaves the under eye area brighter and more awake, de-puffs, helped reduce the appearance of fine lines, soothing, lightweight formula, love the serum consistency, sinks quickly into the skin, all natural, cruelty-free, vegan, handmade
Cons: Can only get it online, pricey (but currently on sale for only $20!)
Repurchase? Yes, I will definitely be purchasing the full- size of this! See my full review here.
Pros: Smells delicious, leaves lips nourished and hydrated, 100% natural, cruelty-free, vegan
Cons: Can only get this online, pricey for a lip balm
Repurchase? Probably not.
Bath & Body
Pros: All natural, cruelty-free, vegan, handmade, exfoliates without being too gentle or too abrasive, effectively smooths and softens skin, non-irritating, promotes circulation and evens skin tone, coffee acts as a stimulant, which helps firm skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite
Cons: Messy to use, can only get it online
Pros: Love the smell of this, non-greasy, absorbs quickly, lightweight formula, leaves skin hydrated and moisturized, good for sensitive skin, affordable, paraben-free
Cons: Didn’t ‘instantly boost skin’s natural radiance’ like it claims, 24 hr moisture is a bit of stretch
Repurchase? Yes—I bought this on a whim when my Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion was sold out and I love it!
Pros: Helps minimize redness, creamy formula, blends easily, wears well under concealer, affordable
Cons: Doesn’t completely mask redness, don’t get a lot of product in this
Pros: Corrects, covers and primes all in one, full coverage, wears all day long, doesn’t crease, the two shades allow you to create your perfect shade, oil-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free
Cons: Hard to get the product out near the end
Pros: Gorgeous shade, blends seamlessly into the skin, lasts all day long, love the mineral formula, contains no nasty ingredients, oil-free, cruelty-free
Repurchase? Yes. I love this bronzer, however, I won’t be purchasing the full-size right away.
Pros: Colour of this matched my brows perfectly, looks natural, left my brows looking so much fuller, easily filled in sparse areas, sets brows perfectly without making them crispy, cruelty-free
Cons: Can only get this online
Repurchase? Yes! I was so sad to finish this product.
