Testing out the New Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

I was thrilled to receive another VoxBox complimentary from Influenster, this time testing out the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara. Before this, I had actually never tried a mascara by Revlon, so I was excited to put this new release to the test, especially with a name like ‘Mega Multiplier’.

As mentioned, I received this mascara complimentary for testing purposes thanks to Influenster, an online community designed for anyone with a social media following. Along with helping you discover new products, you also have access to millions of honest product reviews—it’s definitely worth checking out and signing up for! If you missed my first VoxBox review, you can read that here.

IMG_5832This mascara promises to give you an ‘oversized mega multiplied lash look’ with its unique fibers and 360 degrees tube technology (whatever that means) that work to give you tons of volume and length. The formula also claims to be flake-free, smudge-proof and water resistant.

Now, onto my personal thoughts. I have been testing out this mascara for the past month and there are some pros and cons in regards to it.

The Pros:

– I love the tapered brush on this, as it allows you to easily coat every lash and makes it easy to use on your bottom lashes as well

– I have had no issues with flaking or smudging as promisedrevlonpic

– I have also had no issues with this clumping

– Easily separates my lashes and lengthens them

The Cons:

– Because this is water resistant it is a bit more difficult to remove, even though it says it removes easily with just warm water (it doesn’t).

– This did not do much in terms of volume for my lashes

Overall, this mascara has a lot of good things going for it, but because I was expecting to get a lot of volume from a mascara called the ‘Mega Multiplier’, I was left a little underwhelmed. If you are someone that is just looking for a great lengthening mascara, then you will probably love this, but this mascara promised both volume and length, but only delivered on the one. My final thought? It’s a good everyday mascara, but I personally prefer mascaras that give my lashes a lot more volume.

If you are not looking for a volumizing mascara and instead just looking for an affordable mascara that delivers in terms of length and wearability then definitely give this new release by Revlon a try. The Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara retails for around $10 and you can find it at all major drugstores and superstores.

Have you tried this mascara yet? I would love to know your thoughts on it!
