Product Empties #18

I have finished up a ton more products—especially in regards to makeup. So, let’s cut to the chase and go over what I have recently used up!

Haircare

Dove Refresh + Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo

Pros: Smells amazing, inexpensive, no white residue

Cons: Don’t find it as effective as other dry shampoos

Repurchase? Yes because it is so affordable.

Skincare

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

Pros: Easily and gently removes dirt, oil and makeup, does not irritate my skin or eyes, affordable, free of parabens, artificial fragrance and dyes, comparable to Bioderma

Cons: Wish this came in a larger size

Repurchase? Yes.

IMG_4784Nivea Creme*

Pros: Intensely hydrating, relieves dry skin, multipurpose, gentle, does not clog pores, a little goes a long way, comes in a variety of sizes, love the nostalgic scent of this

Cons: Since it is a thick creme it does take some time to sink in

Repurchase? Yes! My boyfriend is also hooked on this creme.

Ombra Spa Hand Care Balm SOS

Pros: Non-greasy, sinks quickly into the skin, hydrating, good for everyday, perfect size for handbag

Cons: Really do not like the scent of this

Repurchase? Not this one, but I would like to try the other ones in the range.

Bath & Body

Eos Vanilla Bliss Shave Cream

Pros: Conditioning, soothing, prevents razor bumps, smells good, packaging does not leave a rust ring

Cons: Though it smells good it does not really smell like vanilla, the formula does not cling to the skin resulting in a lot of wasted product, did not prevent nicks

Repurchase? Probably not.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Shower Gel

Pros: Smells great, lathers up well, didn’t irritate skin, left skin feeling clean and soft

Cons: Seasonal scent

Repurchase? If they bring this seasonal scent back—yes.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, dry skin is nonexistent for me with this product, skin feels incredibly soft, perfect size for traveling

Cons: A lot of times it is not in stock, this size makes it harder to get the product out since there’s no pump

Repurchase? Always.

Makeup

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream with SPF 35

Pros: Good coverage, good colour match, hydrating, oil-controlling, offers SPF 35

Cons: Found this would cling to dry patches, no longer sat right on my skin (may have gone off), pricey

Repurchase? No.IMG_4786

Essence Say No to Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer

Pros: Helps mask my dark circles, creamy formula, blends easily, wears well under concealer, affordable

Cons: Don’t get a lot of product in here

Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.

e.l.f. Tone Correcting Powder

Pros: Sets makeup really well, evens out skin tone, absorbs excess oil, specifically helped neutralize the red in my skin, very affordable, love the sleek, black packaging

Cons: This powder can break easily, does not neutralize all my skin tone problems, contains talc

Repurchase? Already have.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner

Pros: Jet black shade, wet formula that dries quickly, easy to use, did not dry out at all despite having this for years, affordable, long-wearing

Cons: Not waterproof, tip could be finer on this (but that’s me nitpicking)

Repurchase? Yes, this is one of my favourite liquid liners. However, I have a ton of other liquid liners to use up first.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

Pros: Gives my lashes a dramatic look and a ton of volume, does not flake, easy to remove, affordable

Cons: Can clump if you apply too much, brush is not good on the bottom lashes

Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.
