My first ‘Product Empties’ post of 2017! My goal this year is to try using up as much of my makeup products as possible (easier said than done), especially ones that I have had for awhile.
Anyways, here are the products I have recently used up!
Pros: Smells great, very little white residue, contains L-Arginine (an amino acid) which helps strengthen the hair and add shine
Cons: Can’t find this in Canada (I got it at Target in the states)
Repurchase? Yes! This is my favourite dry shampoo I have tried by Batiste.
Pros: Smells amazing, inexpensive, no white residue
Cons: Don’t find it as effective as other dry shampoos
Repurchase? Yes. Not because it’s my favourite dry shampoo, but because it’s super affordable.
Pros: Easily removes product buildup, leaves hair feeling extremely clean, smells like apples, lathers up well, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan, eco-friendly, contains no nasty ingredients
Pros: Super affordable, easily removes makeup, gentle, non-irritating, hydrating, wipes are really moist, cruelty-free
Cons: Contains parabens
Pros: Hydrating, soothing, really like the water-infused formula, affordable, cruelty-free
Cons: Did not do anything in terms of illuminating/reducing dark circles, in a jar (contaminating), can’t find this in Canada (I got it at Target in the states)
Repurchase? Maybe. It’s a good basic eye cream, but that’s it.
Bath & Body
Pros: Smells lovely and fragrances your bath water, softens skin, non-irritating
Cons: Have to use a lot of product to get bubbles, bubbles do not last, does not lather up well as a body wash
Pros: Very moisturizing, sinks quickly into the skin, oatmeal makes it soothing, fragrance-free, perfect size for traveling
Cons: Can’t think of anything
Repurchase? I wouldn’t buy the full size of this, but I will repurchase this size for traveling.
Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, soothes and heals dry skin, skin feels incredibly smooth and soft
Cons: Price keeps going up on this and a lot of times it is not in stock
Pros: Looks incredibly natural on the skin, sets makeup perfectly, reduces shine significantly, mattifies the skin, very affordable, cruelty-free
Cons: Wish it had a mirror for on the go touch ups, I go through this very quickly
Repurchase? Already did!
Pros: Sets makeup well, love the sea mineral formula, really like the sponge it comes with, contains anti-aging ingredients, contains SPF 15, paraben-free
Cons: Not a huge fan of the scent of this, pricey
Repurchase? Undecided. For the price I think there’s a ton of drugstore powders that are just as good.
Pros: Sets brows in place, good pigmentation, affordable, contains marine botanicals that stimulates growth
Cons: Brush is way too large, only comes in one shade that is a tad too dark for my brows
Repurchase? No. Next time I would just get their clear brow gel.
Pros: Love the scent of this, scent lasts for ages
Cons: Wish the bottle was clear so you knew when you were almost out, pricey
Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.
