Today, I am sharing my last Product Empties post of 2016, which is crazy, as this year has flown by.
I know people always say that about everything, but this year really has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Anyways, here are another dozen products I have used up over the last few months!
Haircare
Batiste Dry Shampoo in ‘Original’
Pros: Affordable, smells fresh and clean, absorbs any excess oil, volumizing
Cons: Can leave a white residue, makes my scalp itchy when I have been using it too much
Repurchase? Yes, but I prefer the COLAB dry shampoos.
COLAB Dry Shampoo in ‘New York’
Pros: Smells amazing, absorbs any excess oil, no white residue, gives my hair more texture and volume
Cons: Contains talc, most places don’t carry COLAB
Repurchase? Yes.
Skincare
Pros: Effectively exfoliates dry skin on my lips leaving them soft and smooth, smells and tastes like sweet mint, the mint stimulates the lips leaving them fuller in appearance, Canadian, handmade, cruelty-free, vegan
Cons: Can be a bit messy to use
Repurchase? Yes.
Live Clean Lovely Lips Protecting Lip Balm
Pros: Lightweight on the lips, nourishing, moisturizing, soothing, seals in hydration, organic, 100% natural, cruelty-free, Canadian, like the shape of it
Cons: On the more pricey side for a drugstore lip balm, can only find these at Rexall
Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.
Equate Eye Makeup Remover Towelettes
Pros: Gentle, non-irritating, oil-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, affordable, good for traveling
Cons: Does not remove waterproof makeup like it claims, tab no longer stuck resulting in the towelettes to start drying out
Repurchase? No, as I bought these specifically for removing waterproof makeup.
Simple Cleansing Micellar Water
Pros: Easily and gently removes dirt, oil and makeup, does not irritate my skin or eyes, affordable, free of parabens, artificial fragrance and dyes, comparable to Bioderma
Cons: Wish this came in a larger size
Repurchase? Always!
Michael Todd Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner
Pros: Soothes and balances the skin, helps minimize/heal breakouts, suitable for all skin types, no nasty ingredients, alcohol-free, cruelty-free
Cons: Can only get it online, the nozzle on this would shoot out really fast and spray everywhere resulting in a lot of wasted product
Repurchase? I love this toner, but I won’t repurchase it just because I really dislike the new packaging.
Pros: Rich cream that is highly moisturizing and nourishing, relieves dryness and stiffness, non-irritating, helped with blood circulation in my hands
Cons: Pricey, on the greasy side so I prefer using this before bed, not a fan of the earthy scent, lid broke
Repurchase? Yes, but not right away.
Bath & Body
Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer
Pros: Smells great, fragrances your bath water beautifully, cubes break off easily, non-irritating
Cons: Can only find these at Superstore
Repurchase? Yes.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion
Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, dry skin is nonexistent for me with this product, skin feels incredibly soft
Cons: Price keeps going up on this and a lot of times it is not in stock
Repurchase? Already have.
Makeup
e.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder
Pros: Sets makeup really well, evens out skin tone, absorbs excess oil, specifically helped neutralize the red in my skin, very affordable, love the sleek, black packaging
Cons: Found the powder broke easily, didn’t neutralize all my skin tone problems, contains talc
Repurchase? Already have.
Fragrance
The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist
Pros: Smells like true vanilla, sprays well, affordable, glass bottle
Cons: Wish the fragrance lasted longer
Repurchase? Yes.
