Product Empties #14

Today, I am sharing more products I have used up over the last couple of months and—surprisingly—there are no bottles of dry shampoo or cleansing water to be found! No idea how, as I use both almost daily and almost every Product Empties post has one, if not both, in it.

Anyways, here are my thoughts on the last dozen products I have used up:

Haircare

Mane ‘n Tail Deep Moisturizing Shampoo

Pros: Smells good, lathers up well, made my hair feel fuller and more voluminous

Cons: Didn’t find it moisturizing, blue dye is an unnecessary ingredient in this and gave me dandruff!!

Repurchase? No.

Live Clean Weightless Volume Conditioner

Pros: Free of any harsh ingredients (like SLS), smells great, left my hair feeling fuller, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: It would be perfect if it had a thicker consistency

Repurchase? Yes.

Skincare

Avène Thermal Spring Water

Pros: Extremely refreshing, perks up skin, water stays cold in the can, soothes and calms any redness and irritation, great for soothing a burn

Cons: Pricey

Repurchase? Already have!

Yes to Coconut Cleansing Wipes

Pros: Easily removes dirt and makeup, can use these all over your body, extremely hydrating, wipes are incredibly moist, smells great, paraben-free, cruelty-free, 96% natural

Cons: My eyes have been really dry and sensitive and this is the first time these wipes irritated my eye area.

Repurchase? Yes, but I switched to different face wipes for the time being.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Lotion

Pros: Offers SPF 30, oil-free, absorbs quickly and feels lightweight on the skin, did not clog pores or break me out, moisturizing, water-resistant, smells good, my face did not burn once wearing this

Cons: Nothing. This does everything it promises!

Repurchase? Yes, but not until summertime.

Bath & Body

The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel

Pros: Affordable, smells great, lathers extremely well, a little goes a long way, soap-free (so it doesn’t strip the skin)

Cons: You really can’t go wrong with these…

Repurchase? Yes.

Belcam Bath Therapy 3-in-1 in ‘Maui Coconut’

Pros: Smells delicious, affordable, free of a lot of harsh ingredients, pH skin compatible, softens skin, bubbles up well in the bath and the bubbles last, lathers up well and leaves skin feeling clean (I didn’t try this as a shampoo)

Cons: I honestly can’t think of anything

Repurchase? Yes! These are so good!

The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray

Pros: Really helps revive and soothe tired feet, cooling (tip: keep in fridge), refreshens feet and shoes and minimizes odour, nozzle sprays evenly, smells like straight up peppermint

Cons: The tingling, cooling sensation can feel a little weird

Repurchase? I did!

Makeup

e.l.f HD Lifting Concealer

Pros: Affordable, cruelty-free, good coverage, doesn’t settle into fine lines, lasts all day

Cons: Only comes in 3 shades, product is hard to get out near the end, contains paraffins

Repurchase? Yes.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder

Pros: Set my makeup well, controlled shine, mineral formula helped clarify my skin and minimize breakouts

Cons: Did not find it mattifying like it said, not a fan of the packaging, wish it had a mirror

Repurchase: Yes, but not right away.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Pros: Easily coats your bottom lashes with just the right amount of product, helps separate both top and bottom lashes, didn’t flake or smudge

Cons: Expensive, pretty much unusable once it starts to dry out

Repurchase? Probably not.

Fragrance

Hanae Mori Butterfly Eau de Parfum Rollerball

Pros: Smells incredible, not sickly sweet or overpowering, good staying power, beautiful packaging

Cons: Pricey, hard to find, the lid and rollerball were defective on this one and caused the product to leak, which was a total bummer

Repurchase? Yes. Always. Already have!
