The Best Products for Bare Legs

Even though it’s not technically summer yet, it definitely is starting to feel like it. And with that means less clothes and more bare skin on show. After hiding my legs all winter, I definitely feel a bit self-conscious now putting them on display. Luckily, I have found some incredible products that help me feel more confident, which is what I want to share with you today!

Exfoliate

Exfoliating your body is so important and really something we should all get into the habit of doing regularly. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells which improves the overall texture of the skin and it also helps increase blood circulation and detoxifies the body leaving you with healthier skin. One of my favourite scrubs has been the joeSCRUB Coffee Scrub as it is 100% natural and contains only 8 ingredients which means your skin can really benefit from each and every ingredient in here. The best part is that coffee is a stimulant so using this on the back of your thighs regularly can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. It won’t banish it obviously, but I have noticed a significant difference on the back of my thighs from using this for the last few months (you can read my full review of these scrubs here).

Moisturize

Along with exfoliating, moisturizing is so incredibly important for our skin. My holy grail moisturizer is the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion as not only is it incredibly moisturizing, but it also helps even out my skin tone and fade any scars on my legs. Even if I shaved my legs with a horrible razor (still on the hunt for the perfect one) my legs are left silky soft thanks to this product. The fact it leaves you smelling like hot chocolate is just an added bonus.

For a moisturizer that temporarily enhances my skin and gives it more of a glow I have recently started using the Nip + Fab Body Shimmer Leg Fix. The golden shimmer in this is subtle and gives my legs just enough of a luminous glow that it looks natural. It absorbs quickly into the skin and instantly leaves my legs feeling softer and looking healthier. I also love the fresh scent of this which is a blend of rose and ginger.

Enhance

For a little extra something, it’s nice to have a couple options to help take your soft, smooth legs one step further. Even though I’ve accepted my naturally pale skin, having a tan definitely makes me feel more confident and I think it makes me look a lot healthier. I don’t recommend using tanning beds, but I think self-tanners are a great option to give your legs a bronze glow. For an affordable option I have been using the Life Brand Sunless Tan Daily Firming Moisturizer as it gives me quick, even colour. It has a very subtle fragrance and the fact that it does not apply streaky is what makes it a real winner. It’s also a firming lotion, so it’s supposed to reduce the appearance of cellulite, but you’ll definitely get better results from the scrub mentioned earlier.

Finally, a little makeup for your legs. There’s no way I’d bother shading and highlighting my legs to give them a leaner, sculpted look, however, mixing something like the Quo Body Glow Illuminator with my moisturizer for an event or a night out is a great option to give my legs a punch of highlight. This gel formula blends seamlessly and leaves the skin with a beautiful pinky gold shimmer and I honestly feel like a goddess after applying this stuff. Unfortunately, both of these products are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart so you can only get them in Canada.

These products seriously make me feel more confident with my legs and no matter your size or shape these are great options for giving you healthier, more luminous skin. And who doesn’t want that?

ellerow.
