Product Empties #10

Seeing as it’s ‘Throwback Thursday’ today, it’s fitting that I have another round of Product Empties to share with you today!

You probably know the drill by now, so no need to beat around the bush. If you want to see what I’ve used up in regards to products the last couple of months and what I thought of them—then carry on reading!

COLAB Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo in ‘Tokyo’

Pros: Smells amazing, absorbs any excess oil, no white residue, gives my hair really noticeable volume

Cons: Contains talc, the ‘Extreme Volume’ range makes my scalp itchy after using it for a few days, most places don’t carry COLAB

Repurchase? Yes.

COLAB Dry Shampoo in ‘Rio’

Pros: Smells amazing, absorbs any excess oil, no white residue, gives my hair more texture and volume

Cons: Contains talc, most places don’t carry COLAB

Repurchase? Yes.

Tresemmé 24 Hour Body Sculpting Spray Gel

Pros: Smells good, doesn’t make my hair crunchy, gives my hair more volume

Cons: Nozzle on this doesn’t work for a gel, just wasn’t really wowed by this product

Repurchase? Probably not.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

Pros: Easily and gently removes dirt, oil and makeup, does not irritate my skin or eyes, affordable, free of parabens, artificial fragrance and dyes, comparable to Bioderma

Cons: Wish this came in a larger size

Repurchase? Already have!

Michael Todd Skin Loving Facial Wipes

Pros: Gentle, removed makeup, alcohol-free, cruelty-free, free of any nasty ingredients, made from 100% organic cotton and organic ingredients

Cons: Too dry for a face wipe, can only get it online

Repurchase? Though they are no longer available, regardless I would not have repurchased these.

Yes to Coconuts Cleansing Wipes

Pros: Easily removes dirt and makeup, can use these all over your body, extremely hydrating, wipes are incredibly moist, smells great, non-irritating (including the eye area), paraben-free, cruelty-free, 96% natural

Cons: Honestly, I can’t think of anything

Repurchase? Already have!

Bath & Body

Freeman Pomegranate Sugar Body Scrub

Pros: Smells sweet like juice, gentle enough that it does not irritate my skin, but abrasive enough that it leaves my body smooth and soft, sugar dissolves so it’s hard to over exfoliate, cruelty-free, paraben-free

Cons: Hard to find

Repurchase? Yes, this is my favourite body scrub!

The Body Shop Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt

Pros: Bubbles up well, smells amazing, does not irritate my skin and leaves it feeling soft

Cons: Wish the bubbles lasted longer

Repurchase? Yes!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, dry skin is nonexistent for me with this product, skin feels incredibly soft

Cons: Price keeps going up on this and a lot of times it is not in stock

Repurchase? Always.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Hand Cream

Pros: Lightweight, non-greasy, non-irritating, sinks into the skin quickly, smells good

Cons: Not as moisturizing as I would like, personally found the scent a little too strong for a hand cream

Repurchase? Probably not. I’ll stick with the Hemp and Almond when it comes to The Body Shop’s hand creams.

e.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder

Pros: Sets makeup really well, evens out skin tone, absorbs excess oil, specifically helped neutralize the red in my skin, very affordable, love the sleek, black packaging

Cons: Found the powder broke easily, didn’t neutralize all my skin tone problems, contains talc

Repurchase? Already have!

Essence Mountain Calling Translucent Powder

Pros: Set my makeup effortlessly, doesn’t look powdery on the skin, mattified by skin, good for all skin tones.

Cons: Seasonal product, contains talc, wish it had a mirror

Repurchase? If it comes back, yes!

I’m burning through products at the moment, so I’ll probably have another Product Empties installment in the (very) near future. In the meantime, you can check out my last Product Empties post here.

Thanks for stopping by!
