Product Empties #8

Today, I have my last Product Empties post of 2015—and my second last post for this year! 2015 flew by and I also seemed to fly through a ton of products. As always, if you want to see what I have recently used up and my thoughts on each product, then carry on reading!

COLAB Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo in ‘Tokyo’

Pros: Smells amazing, absorbs any excess oil, no white residue, gives my hair really good volume

Cons: Contains talc, hard to find this scent

Repurchase? Yes! This is my favourite line of dry shampoo.

Live Clean Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Smoothing Shampoo

Pros: Free of any harsh ingredients (like SLS), smells great, hair felt less frizzy and smoother, 98% plant derived, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Nothing!

Repurchase? Yes.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

Pros: Easily and gently removes dirt, oil and makeup, does not irritate my skin or eyes, affordable, free of parabens, artificial fragrance and dyes, comparable to Bioderma

Cons: Would love this to come in a larger size

Repurchase? Already have!

Bath & Body

Live Clean Exotic Nectar Argan Oil Body Wash

Pros: Replenishes the skin and improves texture and tone, lathers up really well, you get a lot of product for the price, free of any harsh ingredients, 98% plant derived, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Can’t think of anything

Repurchase? Yes.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Bubbling Bath

Pros: Bubbles up decently, doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin, smells amazing, enriched with Community Fair Trade Wild Argan Oil from Morocco

Cons: Can always use more bubbles

Repurchase? Yes.

Eos Cucumber Hand Lotion

Pros: Smells great, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, absorbs quickly, non-greasy, 90% natural, paraben-free

Cons: It’s a very light hand cream and did not offer 24 hour moisture like it claimed

Repurchase? Maybe as just a lighter hand cream in the summertime.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter

Pros: Smells amazing, scent lingers on skin, buttery soft texture, non-greasy, offers plenty of moisture, enriched with Community Fair Trade Wild Argan Oil from Morocco

Cons: In a tub (contaminating)

Repurchase? Yes, this is one of my favourite scents from The Body Shop.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

Pros: Evens out skin tone, paraben-free, cruelty-free, inexpensive, smells like hot chocolate, dry skin is nonexistent for me with this product, skin feels incredibly soft

Cons: Price keeps going up on this and a lot of times it is not in stock

Repurchase? Yes. This is my holy grail body lotion.

Sonia Kashuk Liquid Light Concealer

Pros: Easy to apply, blends well, long lasting, brightens the under eye, cruelty-free

Cons: Only comes in two shades, can only get it at Target

Repurchase? Yes, if I could purchase this in Canada!

The Body Shop Lightening Touch

Pros: Helped brighten the under eye and counteract dark shadows, ‘Shade 1’ worked perfectly with my skin tone

Cons: I felt like the formula was too watery and that you didn’t get a lot of product in this, sometimes irritated the skin around my eyes

Repurchase? No.

Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in ‘Tantalizing Taupe’

Pros: Easy to use, the fine nib gives plenty of control and precision, gives me fuller brows, looks natural, lasts all day, colour is perfect for my brows

Cons: Can only get this online

Repurchase? Definitely!

Sephora Outrageous Volume – Dramatic Volume Mascara

Pros: Gave me incredibly full, false looking lashes, more affordable compared to other high-end mascaras, did not flake on me, easy to remove

Cons: Does not perform well once it starts to dry out, will bleed if wet and can clump, not ideal for everyday wear

Repurchase? I personally would, but I will probably try the waterproof formula next time.

Great post, I love that you put the pros and cons of your products. 🙂 I’ve been wanting to try the micellar water. How well does it take off mascara?

Thank you for reading! And I have no problem with it removing mascara, but I can’t vouch for waterproof formulas! xo
