Product Empties #6

I seem to be breezing through products at the moment, as in just over a month I have already finished another dozen products. These are one of my favourite kind of posts to do, not only because I get to throw away my trash after, but because I can offer an honest and valid opinion and review as I have finished the product completely.

Want to see what I have used up this time? Carry on reading!

Live Clean Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Smoothing Conditioner

Pros: Free of any harsh ingredients (like SLS), smells great, smoothed the frizz on the ends of my hair leaving it much more soft, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Wish the conditioner was thicker (personal preference)

Repurchase? Yes.

Sally Hershberger Plump Up Collagen Thickening Mist

Pros: Smells great, works well as a heat protectant, did not weigh down my hair

Cons: Didn’t really ‘plump up’ or ‘thicken’ my hair

Repurchase? Probably not.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

Pros: Easily and gently removes dirt, oil and makeup, does not irritate my skin or eyes, affordable, free of parabens, artificial fragrance and dyes, comparable to Bioderma

Cons: Would love this to come in a larger size

Repurchase? Already have!

Yes to Coconuts Cleansing Wipes

Pros: Easily removes dirt and makeup, can use these all over your body, extremely hydrating, wipes are incredibly moist, smells great, non-irritating (including the eye area), paraben-free, cruelty-free, 96% natural

Cons: Honestly, I can’t think of anything

Repurchase? Already have!

Bath & Body

Live Clean Spa Therapy Soothing Dead Sea Salts

Pros: Soothed sore, tired muscles, free of any harsh ingredients, naturally derived, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Feel like you don’t get a lot of product for the price, lemon is too overpowering that it almost smells like cleaner

Repurchase? Probably not just because it is expensive for the size and I’m not a fan of the smell.

Live Clean Spa Therapy Polishing Body Scrub

Pros: Effective, yet not too abrasive on the skin, left my skin soft and smooth, free of any harsh ingredients, plant derived, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Not a huge fan of the scent of this, prefer sugar scrubs

Repurchase? I would, however, Walmart started selling my favourite body scrub again—so I’m back to using that.

Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Hand & Body Lotion Wipes

Pros: Effective alternative to body lotion, eliminates dryness and leaves skin soft, infused with coconut milk, scent is subtle and not overpowering, free of sulfates, petrolatum, parabens, SLS and phthalates, cruelty-free, vegan

Cons: Hard to find in Canada

Repurchase? Yes, specifically for traveling and camping.

Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter

Pros: Amazing coverage, great for brightening under the eye and hiding any discolouration, adapts to your skin tone, doesn’t settle into fine lines, brush applicator makes it more sanitary than a doe foot

Cons: Find it difficult to get out near the end (I cut it in half after taking these photos to finish it)

Repurchase? Yes, one of the best drugstore concealers I have tried!

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush in ‘Rosy Glow’

Pros: Extremely pigmented, buildable formula, lasts all day long, mineral formula allows skin to breathe, ideal for sensitive skin, fragrance-free, talc-free, oil-free, cruelty-free

Cons: I believe this only comes in the one shade

Repurchase? I would. However, I have a lot of blushes, so I wouldn’t repurchase this for quite awhile.

e.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder

Pros: Sets makeup really well, evens out skin tone, absorbs excess oil, specifically helped neutralize the red in my skin, very affordable, love the sleek, black packaging

Cons: Found the powder broke easily, didn’t neutralize all my skin tone problems (though it did a pretty damn good job)

Repurchase? I would!

Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder

Pros: Looks incredibly natural on the skin, sets makeup perfectly, reduces shine significantly, mattifies the skin, very affordable, cruelty-free

Cons: Wish it had a mirror for on the go touch ups, felt like I went through this very quickly

Repurchase? Already have!

Bath & Body Works Sea Island Cotton Eau de Toilette

Pros: Smells great (in my opinion), scent lingers quite awhile, love the bottle

Cons: If you spray too much you will choke on this stuff, friends and family either loved or hated this scent

Repurchase? Yes, come summer. Probably will opt for the body spray next time.

It probably won’t be longer than a month until I have ‘Product Empties #7’ to share. In the meantime, check out my previous ‘Product Empties’ posts:
