Welp, this post is coming a few days late. Long story short, my laptop was out of commission for a few days, but (fingers crossed) everything seems to be okay now. Anyways, despite the weather we had Easter weekend (it snowed Saturday night and all of Sunday was gloomy and overcast), I had a relaxing Sunday spent with my family and consuming a lot of wine, chocolate and delicious food.
Top – Forever 21
Sweater – Old Navy
Jeans – Jacob
Floral Headband – No idea. I’ve had this since I was a little kid!
On my nails I went with some Easter inspired colours: OPI polish in Bubble Bath and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in Green with Envy. The OPI one is a very sheer pink making it perfect if you want a natural nail, but it is also buildable if you want it opaque like I did. The Xtreme Wear polishes are some of my favourites as they have a great brush, great staying power and the nail shown is with only one coat!
Even though my mum won’t hide my chocolate anymore (24 going on 10), the fact she still gets my siblings and I some stuff is super sweet. Love you mum!
I kept my makeup fairly natural and dewy. I mixed the Stila Luminizer with my moisturizer to give my skin a healthy glow. This stuff looks intimidating in the bottle, but it blends really well into the skin and looks super natural. I love it! I also dug out my beloved Naked Basics palette which I had not used in awhile. This is—in my opinion—the perfect palette, as it is so multipurpose, making it great for traveling. I used ‘W.O.S’ all over my lid, ‘Venus’ in the inner corner and also on my brow bone, mixed ‘Naked 2’ and ‘Faint’ together to fill my brows in and lastly, lined my upper lash line with ‘Crave’. I decided to go with a pink lip and this NYX lip balm was a fuss free choice. It is also moisturizing and incredibly pigmented.
Last, but not least, my dinner. Yes, I was that person that took a picture of their plate, feel free to judge me. In all seriousness though, our Easter dinner was so good and I’m hungry just looking at it again. We did a pork tenderloin and a baked salmon with lemon butter and lots of garlic. Accompanying those were scallop potatoes (my favourite) and asparagus and brussel sprouts. Following this was apple pie and a chocolate tart. I was in a food coma for a couple of days.
I hope you all had a Happy Easter or a just a great weekend in general!
