A Mini Sephora Haul

Am I a bad person if I say that none of these were Christmas presents? In all fairness these are all products I have been wanting to try for ages and ended up getting them all for really great deals.

IMG_4956Beginning of December Sephora had 20% off for VIB and VIB Rouge members and I needed to get my mum something for Christmas and I obviously wasn’t going to not get myself anything. Then I was on the Sephora website (first red flag) and they had so many amazing products on sale. The item I wanted to get my sister for her birthday was actually half off on the site, so I had to snatch it up. And since I have to spend $75 for free shipping I had to grab myself some things to bump it up (really trying to justify these purchases guys). Anyways, I figured I would share them as I absolutely adore all these products and I think this is also great to show people that you can get high end makeup at discounted prices.

L to R: Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset and Sandstone

L to R: Bubbly, Gilded Gold, Luster, Night Sky (perfect name) and Ebony

Kitten Shimmer and Park Ave Princess Palette

Tarte Tres Chic Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette – $41.00 $29.00

I believe this is a newer product by tarte and I am not sure if it is limited-edition. Regardless, I was considering purchasing this product full price, so I was ecstatic to see it on sale on Sephora. This palette is so pretty and comes in a sleek gold case (which shows your grimy finger prints on it, so that is my only negative thing to say about it). You get their cult bronzer ‘Park Ave Princess’ which I absolutely love; it’s matte, build able, blends seamlessly and lasts all day. The blush is a pale pink called ‘Posh’ which is perfect for my skintone and looks very natural. The champagne gold highlighter is also incredibly gorgeous and I love blending it with the blush to give my cheeks more of a luminous glow and I also may use this on my eyes. All three of these are their Amazonian clay formula which does not irritate my sensitive, acne prone skin and does not contain parabens or phthalates. If you have had your eyes on this palette like myself I would definitely snatch it up before it is gone.

Stila All Over Liquid Luminizer in ‘Kitten Shimmer’ – $26.00 $20.80

I decided to try this product on a whim, as I had a sample of Benefit’s ‘Girl Meets Pearl’, which I loved, but did not like the packaging the full size came in. I decided on this stila one as their kitten shade is so pretty. I love mixing this with my daily moisturizer when I am having a no makeup or minimal makeup day. It just gives my skin that healthy glow it so desperately needs during the winter time when my skin is just pale and dehydrated. This product also does not contain: parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs or triclosan, making it a much better option than the Benefit one which contains eight (!) different parabens alone. This also contains grape seed oil which is also very nourishing and beneficial for the skin.

Stila in the Light Palette – $47.00 $24.00

I know this palette is old news in the beauty world, but I have wanted this palette for ages and I am so happy to finally have it in my possession. You get 10 eyeshadows, 4 which are matte and 6 which are a subtle shimmer. You also get a full-size eye liner in ‘Damsel’ which is a blackish brown colour. These shadows are so pigmented and ones with the subtle shimmer picks up the light beautifully. You can also wet the eye shadows to intensify the colour. This palette is sold out on the Sephora website, but the link above will take you to the stila website where they also have this must-have palette on sale.

NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder – $42.00 $33.60

I have been loving brightening/illuminating face products to bring some life and a glow to my rather dull skin. This has been one of the higher end products in this category I have been wanting to try and finally caved during the 20% off sale. First off: NARS, hands down, is my favourite brands based on their packaging and I melt just looking at it. Seriously, it is like I have Charlie Hunnam in the palm of my hand (Weird? Maybe, but both make me swoon). This one comes in a black silk pouch making it feel extra luxurious. It is supposed to work with all different sources of light to optimize light reflection. I have not worn it enough to agree or disagree with that, but it definitely does brighten my complexion, set my makeup and keep shine at bay. I prefer using a powder brush over the sponge it comes with and apply this mainly on my t-zone. This powder is also paraben-free and fragrance-free.

Along with Sephora’s amazing sale, you can also get an additional 20% off the sale items (making that tarte palette now only $23.20) with the code: EXTRA20

Tarte has 15% off their entire site (regular priced and sale) with their code: BYE2014

DISCLAIMER: All of these products were purchased by myself with my own money. None of these companies have sent me anything or are paying me to say anything. These are just all brands I love and wanted to share with anyone who may be interested, especially when there are some seriously awesome deals going on!

Happy shopping!
