I may or may not have made a cheeky online Sephora purchase. Okay, clearly there’s no hiding it as I’m making a whole blogpost dedicated to it. I decided to treat myself to a few back-to-school items, since I don’t really need much in regards to back-to-school clothes (that’s a good way to justify it, right?).
The first thing I grabbed was the Boscia B.B. + Blotting Linens Duo whilst perusing the sale section and had to snatch up (reduced from $60 to $31). A lot of bloggers have raved about Bosica and it is a brand I am interested in trying more, as they are completely preservative-free. I haven’t heard much about this B.B. cream, and I’m not sure how I feel about self-adjusting ones, but for the price I decided to give it a try. And I already know I love their blotting linens and I am always in need of more.
Ever since Estee from Essiebutton did this blogpost I’ve been dying to try navy blue eyeliner (#essiebuttoneffect). Having similar eye colour and complexion to her I knew this was a colour I wanted to try out for the fall. Estee used the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner in ‘Midnight’, however seeing as I seldomly wear liquid liner I wanted to go for a pencil liner. After a lot of hemming and hawing I opted for the Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in ‘Perfect Navy’. Despite the mixed reviews on the liner I still went for it as it is paraban free, waterproof (I have super sensitive eyes) and contains a smudger on the one end which I love for softening my eyeliner. I’ll be sure to do an update on this product for those who may be interested!
The No Cosmetics No Bleeding Lips – Secret Lip Liner intrigued me as it is a clear lipliner. I am hoping this product will help me in regards to making me more confident with wearing lipstick. Only time will tell…
I also got the Sephora Glossy Lip Pencil in ‘Pale Pink’ as I wanted an easy lip colour I can wear to class. I am really loving lip pencils as for me it is in between a lipgloss and a lipstick. I had swatched this one in-store and loved the colour of it and you can’t beat the price.
Oh, that excitable feeling of a brand new NARS product. I absolutely love the luxe feel of the brand with their rich pigment and sleek packaging. I picked up the NARS blush in ‘Amour’ which is pretty much ‘Orgasm’ without the shimmer, making it much more fall appropriate.
And finally, the Sephora Bronzed and Blushing Face Palette. I’ve been eyeing this for awhile, and I finally finished some of my inexpensive blushes and bronzers, so I decided to finally pick this up. Everything I have tried by Sephora I have loved, so I have high hopes for this product. It’s perfect for traveling, the price is budget friendly and I love the packaging. It is also limited edition, so if you are interested, do get your hands on it before it is gone!
To top it all off, I found a Sephora Point Perk worthy of redeeming. If you are not familiar with Sephora’s beauty rewards you can click here. For 500 points I got the Origins Round the Clock Radiance set. This includes four deluxe samples of their Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash, GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream, GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer and High Potency Night-A-Mins.
Both of the face creams are 1 oz samples which made it so worth it to me. I already own the eye cream so I will save this one, along with the face wash, for traveling. I really think the GinZing helps awaken my eyes, so I’m hoping the face cream performs the same. And the night cream will be perfect for the winter to help combat dullness.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts? Or if you have a recent Sephora haul, please post as I love being nosey and seeing what other people have picked up!
